90 street musicians at the rural area
On June 10th obPHON'11 will be opened with a concert involving all participating musicians. Afterwards the brass band "Fanfara Kalashnikov" will be playing.
On June 11th street musicians, instrumentalists, vocalists, bands etc. will play at public spaces at the Oberland. At the same time residents of the town can invite musicians to play at their home or garden.
On June 12th a musician mile with a 'carnival atmosphere' will take place at the area of the Kirschauer Aquakulturen GmbH (Friesestrasse 31, OT Kirschau). On several hundred meters the musicians will present classical, familiar as well as exotic sounds.

This Saturday afternoon obART presented the Bernd Hoffmann Show Orchester from Leipzig. The 5 musicians mix jazz, swing, folk and country and create their very own sound.

On this evening Kirschau became no. 124 of the music marathon by Roland Graeter.
During his marathon the musician gives 365 concerts on 365 days at 365 places.
The concert lasted 36,5 plus 3,65 minutes. Graeter played the cello and was accompanied by Birgit Schuh (on a sewing machine) as well as Walburga Walde (vocals).

At 2 p.m. obART opened the new venue friese, located at the Friesestraße 31 in Kirschau. The friese is the new communication spot for Kirschau as well as one of the venues of obPHON'11.
